The Texas Department of Health Services recommends everyone six-months old and older receive the flu immunization. The flu recovery time is approximately 5 days however, it varies greatly depending on a lot of different factors including your overall health. Always cover your coughs and sneezes. Stay home if you’re sick and get plenty of rest so you have less of a chance of sharing your germs. Have a plan to care for sick family members at home.

Symptoms of the flu begin 1-4 days after you are exposed and the flu virus has entered your body. Fighting the flu requires time and energy.
